TORONTO (Aug. 18, 2026) — The Indiana Fever (24-12), in their first-ever visit to the Toronto Tempo, earned a 101-95 road result, marking the team’s fifth-consecutive victory. Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark made league history, setting a new record for most 20+ point games by a duo in a single season, while Mitchell matched a league record for most consecutive 20+ point games, with her streak now at 20 games. Mitchell becomes the first player in league history to hit the mark in a single-season.

Powered by 16 points from Mitchell, the Fever took a double-digit lead in the first quarter. Nine points from Clark and eight from Boston helped the Fever stay in front, up 57-49 at the halftime break.

The Fever extended their lead to a 12-point advantage, helped by nine consecutive points, including two three pointers from Mitchell to close out the third quarter. The Tempo closed within four points in the fourth quarter, but the Fever held on and were able to withstand Toronto’s attempt at a comeback, resulting in the six-point win.

Indiana Fever Notes:

Kelsey Mitchell scored 20+ points for the 20th consecutive game, tying the league record for the longest overall 20+ point scoring streak in the history of the WNBA, matching A’ja Wilson. Mitchell already owns the longest 20+ point scoring streak in a single season, extending her lead to 20 games.

With 29 points, Kelsey Mitchell earned her 28th 20+ point scoring performance of the season, tying Arike Ogunbowale for the third most in a single season in league history.

Additionally, Kelsey Mitchell’s 20+ performance marks the 138th of her career, tying Tamika Catchings for the most in franchise history and the 11th most in WNBA history.

Kelsey Mitchell recorded her 51st consecutive double-digit scoring performance, extending her lead for the longest streak in franchise history, while tying Liz Cambage for the 12th longest in WNBA history.

Caitlin Clark recorded her sixth consecutive game with 20+ points and 5+ assists, tying her own record for the longest of said streak in WNBA history.

Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell each scored 20+ points for the 16th time this season, surpassing Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter for the most in a single season in WNBA history.

The win marked the team’s 24th of the season, tying a franchise record for most wins in a single season in franchise history. The original record was set in 2025, a record which took the team 43 games to reach, this year’s team did so in 36 games.

The team scored 100+ points for the 16th game this season, extending their lead for the most in a single season in league history. In the franchise’s previous 26 seasons, the Indiana Fever had only recorded 18 100+ point games, now just two games shy of doubling that number in a single season.

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 18, 2026) — Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 12 of the 2026 WNBA season, it was announced today.

Clark scored a cumulative 77 points this past week across three games, the most points scored by any player in the WNBA over the span. Averaging 25.7 points per game, Clark had the second highest points per game average within the league. Meanwhile, Clark’s 29 total assists and 9.7 assists per game both led the league throughout the week.

On Aug. 11, Clark scored 22 points and recorded 10 assists to help lead Indiana to a 106-92 win over the New York Liberty. Clark then followed up her performance with another double-double, this time with 29 points and 10 assists in the team’s win over the Dallas Wings. Finally, against the Atlanta Dream, Clark helped the Fever earn a critical win with 29 points and nine assists.

This is the seventh time in her career Clark has won Player of the Week, and her fourth win of the season. With her selection, Clark becomes the second Indiana Fever player to earn four Player of the Week honors in a single season, joining Tamika Catchings who did so in 2012 en route to the team’s WNBA Championship.
